PRECISION AGRICULTURE

Technology for the Modern Farm

At Maria Stein Grain we know that agricultural technology is an ever changing environment. We strive to combine today’s ag technology with traditional agronomics to do what makes the most sense for your operation and successfully achieve agreed upon goals.

One part of ag technology is precision agriculture, which helps you realize the full potential of your ground and inputs by capturing data and measuring results. With data comes knowledge, and this allows us to adjust management decisions in an educated manner to make a difference. By managing differently across each field, you gain the potential to reduce input costs, raise productivity and continually improve.

The samples produced through testing allow our Precision Ag Specialists to determine nutrient quantities in your fields soil, and develop a customized recommendation nutrient schedule for your fields. Helping to cut the cost of your inputs and optimize your fields yields.

Variable Rate Application of Fertilizer and Ag Lime - While many farmers today traditionally apply fertilizer and ag lime as a flat rate application however, years of flat rate spreading has left many fields lacking enough nutrients to optimize yields. By combining Grid or Soil sampling results with variable rate application of fertilizer and ag lime farmers can overcome varied nutrient field rates.
